Feathers...

appear when angels are near...isn't that a lovely quote. Here is a mini journal page including a moo with words and my hand carved stamped feathers. It is double sided with the quote continuing on the reverse of the page.

I am going to share my project over at Moo Mania their current challenge is 'in a row'.

Summer...

what does it mean to me? Well, I have journalled it onto the back of a little hidden door in my mini art journal. I created the background using inks and a square stencil.

The stamps are from a set with the magazine Get Stamping Issue 3. All of which had a holiday theme. I even decorated the back of my mini journal page.

I designed this page with the following challenges in mind:
Art Journal Journey: Square
Journal Journey's: What does summer mean to you?
Pile it on: No designer papers

Mixing it Up!

I needed to make a birthday card and so have been blog hopping to find some challenges to help get me started this Sunday morning. First, came a sketch over at Sketch Saturday, then came some colour over at A Mixed Media Colour challenge and when embellishing my card I went for buttons over at Cute Card Thursday.

Here is all the different things I used in project:

Here's my card:

Close up of doodle tracing through die cut and stencils. Distress stains and hand carved stamping using acrylic paints. More stamping using Black archival ink and added button embellishment with some thread. All matted up onto black netting fabric.

Want a little word

...that is current word over at One Little Word a challenge run by Ronda Palazzari. I decided that as I seem to be obsessed by all things little that I would start a super mini journal using this:

I have been carving some new stamps this morning and the little heart was carved from the leftovers. Stamped in black archival and used second, third, etc generation of ink to create background.

Then created overlay using some super thick acetate recycled from some packaging, used embossing folder and created a little tab.

I decided my background needed a splash of colour so out came the barn door distress stain and of course added my words onto the acetate overlay.

I had the following other challenges in mind while I designed this little journal page.
Craft Stamper Magazine: Use Acetate
Our Creative Corner: Words, Words, Words

On Week Four already of our all things small and mini workshop. So this week I had a drama with Glossy Accents and if you watch the video you will find out more! Needless to say I am not so sure I like GAs any more...sulk, sulk...LOL! Here is my The Little Things project this week:

I have now stuck a magnetic onto the back (NOT with GA I hasten to add) and it hides just right behind the flower. My Memory Glass magnet is now on my fridge:

The Little Things # Week 3

This week I have used a little mini mirror piece, as well as some resin roses and accent beads that were lurking in that 'will use one day stash!' in my The Little Things project. A little self-affirmation piece for you to look at each day all based around an easel card. Lots of inking; a little through a stencil and a lot using stamps.

The process has been captured over on this Vimeo video.
