Crazy Hair Lady # Take Two

I signed up for Natasha May's 3 week long Crazy Hair Ladies workshop, having always admired their crazy hair was keen to see how it was done and learn a few things along the way. This is my second attempt and happier with this than my first! I was a bit heavy handed with the acrylic paint on the face in take 1...but of course we are own worst critics!

Why not head over to Natasha's blog to find out more!
Bargain at $25 with both a video and pdf  for each of the 3 weeks.

Stripes and Sparkle

As Christmas makes will soon be a must thought I would get the last birthday card I need for December done. I used the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and used acrylic paints, ink and sparkle medium to create my paper stripes.

OLW # Grace

...so I found this word quite hard to tackle. Perhaps it is because I don't possess grace, who knows...LOL!? The main reason being I couldn't find a quote that I felt affinity with. But then by chance I found the lyrics in this Mumford and Sons track and so the creation followed:

I do hope you will take the time to hop over to the One Little Word blog to see the other fab creations and also join into this month 'Grace' challenge. I am sharing this canvas over at Paint Party Friday.

The Scream...

an art journal page. Faced a couple of craft demons creating this page. Worked in a journal rather than my usual loose leaf and also journalled in pen straight onto the page. The background was created using acrylic paint, pan pastels and some inks. My scream girl was coloured using water colour pencil crayons.

Child...

For this mini journal page I have used the theme and colours from the current Mix It Monthly challenge. I have never drawn a child before and after a bit of sketching I realised that softness of features is important and then juxtaposed it with the graphic stamped background.

I am also going to share my page over at Art Journal Every Day.

My Hands...

were swift to grab my new Stampotique stamp for the new Moo Mania challenge...don't you just love inking up a new stamp...drool! Choose to use some colours from November's challenge over at Tando Creative Challenge. So here it is added a squirt of Goosebumps Texture Spray to finish it off.

I already have some willing crafters who are hoping to join me.

How about keeping some interesting packaging too and joining me?

Steampunk

Here is a mini art journal page I created after seeing the new challenge over at Our Creative Corner. The drawing I did myself and then used three elements from the TIC TAC TOE which were wings, gears and wire. I am also going to share it over at Art Journal Every Day.

Share My FAV!

Hope you will hop on over to the Unruly PaperArts blogzine to see my column in which I share my FAV stencil technique.
