Imperfections...

not sure where this page came from exactly but here it is anyway (though think listening to Marilyn Manson album might have something to do with it!) Sketched straight onto page using pen and coloured mainly with Gelatos with a touch of pencil crayon. Then decided to journal all over her.

Junk Journal starts tomorrow!
Happy New Year Everyone!

Junk Journal Join In 2014

As some of my regular readers will know I have already decided on my self-challenge for 2014 to do some junk journaling and I already have a handful of blog pals that are hoping to join me. There is a closed Facebook group set up and some of us have been sharing our thoughts/collection of junk already. I have been busy videoing my first page and will be sharing it on 1st Jan 2014. If you want to join in the chat, share your own junk journal projects and get access to video each month then if you friend me on Facebook and I will send you invite to the group. I will be sharing my pages my blog for those of you who don't do Facebook!

At the top of this post you will see a sneak peek of my first page!

Thank You Dad

My Dad bought me a Teresa Collins Stampmaker for Christmas and I have finally managed to get to my craft desk this morning.

So needless to say this card was made using my first stamp made using the Stampmaker and the image itself was from an art journal page I created last year. The background was created using some new Firework Ink sprays a crafting pal gave me for Christmas (thank you Louise).

I designed my card with the following challenges in mind:
Stamping Sensations: Free and Easy
Sketch Saturday: Sketch
Totally Gorjuss: New (new Firework Ink sprays and new stamp made with stampmaker)

Hope all my blogging friends had a great Christmas!

OLW # Magic

A perfect word for the festive season and so I decided to make a seasonal snowman. The snowman is made from paperclay coated in glitter.

I then created a little stand for him by painting and altering a paper mache box.

The hat is made from a tiny wooden flower pot and then I hand stamped the sign, coating it in some crackle paint. Please hop over to One Little Word to see what the other designers have created. I do hope you find time to make something for this months challenge. I am also going to enter my project into the following other challenges:
Anything but a Card: with a holiday twist!
Crafting for all Seasons: Anything Christmas but a card
Crafty Calendar: Cold and Frosty

Creative Hand

Another journal page for Daisy Yellow's Rainbow Escape challenge for December: Indigo and Turquoise plus Poem/Haiku. 3 done...4 to go so on track I think! Attempted to write my own Haiku poem for this page. London Blue Dylusion Ink Spray and Turquoise acrylic paint were used on this page.

Pan Pastels

I have had a small collection of Pan Pastels for a while and got them out to create this page. The doodle idea came from Pigment of My Imagination. My scarlet and magenta page with doodle is for Decembers 'Rainbow Escape' challenge over at Daisy Yellow.

I am also going to enter my art journal page into the Pan Pastel UK challenge.

Escape...

the stresses of Christmas or just try to escape the festive season all together. A challenge set by Tammy over at Daisy Yellow for the month of December. I was in for sure! There are some colour and journaling prompts which you can only use once. The first for me was yellow and green plus mind mapping/brainstorming. Freestyled this page with acrylic paints and Gelatos.

I am going to share this page over at AJED.
