Wordsearch,

crossword or suduko. The theme for Week 27 of The Documented Life project. Here is my journal page for the week. I used alcohol inks to create the background, some stamping, then both clear and white embossing using PaperArtsy images. To fit the theme I created a word search hiding the quote from the current challenge theme over at Tando Creative Challenge.

27 weeks in a nice chunky journal now!

Here is the coral background I started with using Promarkers, acrylic paint and glimmer mist:

Added teal paint and some detail. Here is my finished page:

this canvas had a girl with golden hair last week but she has gone and a landscape has appeared!

there is a third canvas which needs a bold move next week I think as I just can't find a direction as it is.

Covered...

Paint Party!

I managed to grab a bit of sunshine yesterday evening by doing some work on one of my Bloom True canvases out on the veranda. My awkward teenager canvas looks like she might survive puberty after all and has turned into a young beauty with a golden mane of hair, though still a work in progress:

I am going to share this over at Paint Party Friday!

Awkward Teenager

I had been warned there was a phase on the Flora Bowley course where an awkward teenager might emerge from the canvas. So here we are Week 3 done and 2 very awkward teenagers, but the third seems to be coping with puberty quite well...LOL!!

gorky teenager!

might come out the other side?

June's Junk Journaling

Our Facebook group continues to grow, with lots of people sharing their ideas and latest junk journaling project. Here are some of the member's projects that really took my eye in May:

and Cindy's vibrant background.

Here is the page I have created to kick start the inspiration for June. I must confess I thought this page wasn't going to make it, but managed to bring things together just about, hence the rather dramatic quote...I was having one of those days...LOL!

card from old sketchbook cover. gesso and stamping,

coloured with Big Brush Pitt Pens,

painted on Nougat Fresco paint and wiped back using PaperArtsy stencil

more stamping, some junk from clothes tag for stem,

sketched flower using Pitt pen and then add wash of black in around the flower and page. Odd buttons for centre of flower. Printed and added by quote.

Hope you do some junk journaling this month!
