Oh I do...

like to be beside the seaside. Nearly 12 months seen I saw the sea and so crafting is the next best thing! I used my Kaleidacolor 'Caribbean' ink pad as the colours are just perfect for sea themed projects. All my stamps are by Crafty Individuals. I started my making some double sized twinches and created a background using inks, plus wiped back colour with a baby wipe/stencil. Some over stamping:

Then came all the images which again were inked and also I added a little pencil crayon to give more dimension to the embellishments:

I decided to put all my twinchies together and make a little book. So I threaded jump rings through punched and added beads, plus some ribbon which was stamped using Teal Staz on ink.
I have designed this twinchie book for the following challenges:

Triple Stamping

The middle mat of my card is Moo sized and the whole triple mat sits nicely on an A6 card blank. I stamped using Tim Holtz background stamps and an old ink splat stamp. The inks colours were Staz on Teal and Fuchsia. The central image was a freebie on a Craft Stamper magazine.

I have designed this card with the following challenges in mind:
Moo Mania: Triple stamping
Craft Calendar: Things with Wings
Shopping our Stash: No patterned papers
Papertake Weekly: Anything goes

A Home...

for my moos. I have been storing them in with my ATCs up until now and they kept falling out of the album pockets. But after finding a couple of challenges that were 'home' and 'moo' themed thought it was about time I made my moos their own home! I used these blank study cards and as the card was a bit thin decided that acrylic paint would be good to cover the cards.

I did an epic Gelli printing session. I managed to fit about 12 cards onto the plate and so covering 40 cards front and back became a little easier!

I couldn't resist even though it was time consuming did some stamping and also inked all the edges of the cards. To finish off I coloured up some ribbon to match the project and also painted a heart frame embellishment to finish of my mini moo book. All the moos I have received from swaps and some I made myself got stuck inside the book.

I designed this project with the following challenges in mind:
A Colorful Journey: June Gelli Plate Party
Moo Mania: Home
Our Creative Corner: Recipe
ABC challenge: Open

CCAYR # June Challenge

This month over at Christmas Cards All Year Around our challenge is 'vintage' whether that be full on vintage or using a vintage image. This is my last card as part of the Design Team, I have had 2 fabulous years but feel it is time to step down and follow my own creative path. Here is a little peak of my card:

All Tied up!

I made this little birthday book by tying up some tiny A7 cards I designed and made. They were gessoed, inked, spritzed with water and then stamped. I also added some fine black netting fabric to layer up my focal image on the front cover.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar: Blooms and Blossoms
Cute Card Thursday: Tie it up
Pile it on: Add fabric or felt

Surround

Here is the stash I became surrounded by the end of this project!

Lots of layers of acrylic paint and some texture using masking/washi tape and some book papers. Must not forget the modelling paste either!

Stamping with Brown Staz on ink and some new little mini stamps...99p what a bargain!

My finished page using a Dina Wakely stamp which I stamped onto tissue paper and then applied to the page. Not sure whether I like my white acrylic paint circles, now...
you see we are surrounded by self doubt!

Designed for the following challenges:
One Little Word: Surround
One Stop Crafting: Anything Goes!
The Artistic Stamper: Words

Prim and Proper...

seems to suit this lady! I challenged myself for this project not to use stamps, ink or black and so I can enter it into the current Art Journal Journey theme. I am also going to share it over at this weeks Paint Party Friday.
