29 Faces Done!

I am so proud of myself for keeping up with this challenge and it was a wonderful chance to try new techniques and different styles of faces. I would recommend the challenge to anyone interested in trying to get into some art. I understand that there will be 29 Faces again later in the year so something to ponder until then!

Here are my last of my Faces. I did this first one near the start for the 29 Faces series but created it for a challenge over the Craft Bubble 2 and half forum and I just realised I hadn't blogged her! At least I don't think I have...starting to loose track! She is one of my favourites too.

And here are all my February Faces!

Thank you Ayala for organising this I have had a blast!

27 Calm

This face I created earlier in the month for One Little Word challenge but unfortunately Ronda is very poorly and so it is on hold for now. The theme was CALM. As I am still in 29 Faces mode decided to do another drawing, tried to make her look like she is laying down and feeling calm! Not sure if she looks as serene as I would like...but as they say we are our own worst critic!

Mother and Daughter

2 Faces all coloured in Distress Ink and so that makes 25/26 of my 29 Faces. Used more Distress Inks and a couple of stencils to create the background, plus a touch of stamping too!

23/24 Faces

On the countdown to completing the 29 Faces challenge for February! A girl on watercolour paper and coloured in with water colour pencils. In the background I used a brand new PaperArtsy stencil designed by Lin Brown.

This girl is painted completely using PaperArtsy Fresco paints:

I am also going to share this over at Sketch Sunday.

29 Faces continues

another face. It didn't quite go to plan but I managed to up recycle it into an art journal page and was able to ink up my newly purchased Art Journey water drops stamps!

19 Faces done!

I finally got around to counting them up and so well past the half way point. I was brave this time and didn't colour her so all about the sketch today! I am really pleased her too.

Mail Art # 1

Taking a break from my 29 Faces. That doesn't mean I have given up on the challenge just enjoying the change and so organised a little mail art swap with a few crafting pals. I decided on a bright and cheer theme so here is # 1:

I am going to enter this project into the Corrosive challenge as I used both faux and real stitching.

Continuing...

my 29 Faces. She has an updo and some matching jewellery with a 1940's vibe I think! Again my face has been drawn in my mini art journal.

Week 8 The Documented Life

Managed to tie a few challenges in with this diary page. 29 Faces, The Documented Life and Moo Mania and More! I used book papers and some PaperArtsy stamps for this project. The image is coloured in mainly with Distress Ink with just a touch of pencil crayon.

2 Faces

No post from me yesterday as I was cracking on with some PaperArtsy projects but can't reveal them for a while! Anyway, here I am back with 2 Faces in my mini journal to keep up with my 29 Faces challenge. I am taking this challenge as a chance to try out new things and just go for it! Not sure I am 100% or even 70% keen on my first sketch but like the 2nd one with her classic looks.

I am going to share it over at Sketch Sunday.

Losing count of my faces!

Junk journalled this girl using an old Christmas card and tag. The girl was even created on an old scrap of watercolour paper. She is another of my sketch turn stamp girls.
