Girl with Apple

Week 45 of the documented life project this week is 'use a tab' and you will see mine is very understated! They have also started to launch details of 2015's project HERE is the link if anyone wants to check it out. I was also thinking about the new Art Journal Journey challenge too when working on this page and was inspired by Magritte but couldn't bring myself to draw an apple in front of her face!

Week 35 'But Never Dared!'

Yep, another page in my documented life journal. This week's theme is to drawing a face. Well that was right up my street. Though thinking about the upcoming 29 Faces in September Ayala is trying to encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zone with their artwork. I didn't sketch in pencil today and it is all done in pen/plus the shading, I coloured with Gelatos. You will noticed I sneaked on a couple of Sara Naumann's new stamps too.

See what Ayala says:

I know it isn't quite September yet but decided to get into that way of thinking now! I know I won't keep up with 29 Faces this time because of the start of the new school term but going to do as many as I can and keep the phrase...'but never dared' in my head.

The Documented Life Project

We are on Week 34 and the theme is all about numbers significant in some way to your week. Well, yesterday was a crazy day all about plums...LOL!! So today thought it was a perfect subject for this weeks page. I am going to enter my journal page into the current Anything Goes theme over at Crafty Calender.

Catching up

Just had a week away in Dorset but managed to get my documented life project for week 33 done. It was to use under papers i.e. the paper you put underneath to catch drips of paint, etc. Well I didn't have anything messy but I did have watercolour pencils, Big brush and Pitt Pens. So after making a little project I then had under papers and sketched over to create this girl and therefore my page from the week. When I had glued her down onto my page I decided to add some colour and the under paper was so thin that my colouring picked up the matrix of the dry adhesive, I quite like the effect it created...a happy accident!

I am going to share this over at Paper Saturdays. and AJED.

A pocket

This is the theme for week 31 of The documented life project. I did some junk journaling working on recycled cardboard page and then used a flattened toilet roll to make my pocket. I covered everything is papers, added a few pretty embellishments and started to add pretty things to my pocket. I bought I lovely red flowery dress on the weekend and I liked the tag on it almost as much as the dress!

Wordsearch,

crossword or suduko. The theme for Week 27 of The Documented Life project. Here is my journal page for the week. I used alcohol inks to create the background, some stamping, then both clear and white embossing using PaperArtsy images. To fit the theme I created a word search hiding the quote from the current challenge theme over at Tando Creative Challenge.

27 weeks in a nice chunky journal now!
