Challenging...


myself to move a step forward with my art work. I needed some backgrounds to work on and I didn't want to spend hours on them. So thought I would have my March's Gelli Print Party and this is what I produced in half an hour. My first layer was a generous spritz of Glimmer Mist onto the plate it puddled up but I liked the prints it produced, the second layer was with pale blue acrylic paint and stencils and the final layer I used some hand cut masks plus a brighter blue.

 
My  personal challenge is to be brave enough to draw straight onto my background (rather then collage image onto it) and paint rather than colour. So here is how my first attempt went:

  8. WOW! The end results is brill. I can see why you would find those two things a challenge thogh- painting rather than colouring and drawing straight onto a background. I have the shivers even thinking of them!
